Spring racing season started in style with South Devon AC runners competing in several races with some great performances and PB’s. The Tavy13 is a half marathon run by Tavistock Athletic and was the third race in the SDAC annual grand prix. The race starts and finishes at Tavistock College athletic track with a lovely scenic route out to Dartmoor and back. Saturday saw a fantastic first parkrun win for Stuart Batten at Tamar Lakes parkrun and many South Devon runners at our local parkrun at Torbay Velopark. Sunday was the running of one of the Iconic races in the South West – “The Grizzly” hosted by Axe Valley Runners. It is a challenging twenty-mile multi terrain race around the coast and trails at Seaton.
