Various Races - 19th-23rd July 2017


It was a busy week for South Devon AC with many miles covered and prizes won.

On Wednesday 19th July Keith Belt ran in the Exeter City Run 10k and was 1st O70 male in 114th place and a time of 47.13.

On Thursday 20th July 3 South Devon Athletes attended the Kingsbridge 10k Fair Week with Brian Marjoram 81st in 57.53, 98-Roger Webb 62.24 and 104-John Drennan 67.11.

Two David's ran in the 10k Cornwood Challenge on Saturday 22nd. There was yet another victory for David Hampton as he romped home for 1st place and a great time of 35.37, David Cubberley was 174th in 1.07.21.

Meanwhile over the weekend our tireless ultramarathon runners were at it again, Steve Hookins ran an incredible 100 miles at the Cotswold 24 and Nicky Washbrook an amazing 80 miles.

Marc Jones and Mark Stockman (on his birthday) took on The Twelve Labours of Hercules. Organised by Pure Trails this is held in the Peak District, a 78 mile ultra with 17,000 feet of climbing and tasks to perform en route.
