There will be an EGM held before running on the 15/03/18. we would like to ask anyone attending to make sure you are at the leisure centre for 18:45

the purpose is to clarify the rule we have always used to decide eligibility for the club place in the London Marathon by adding it to the constitution.

The new Addition would Read:

​

When the club has received a place in the London Marathon, the recipient shall be decided by ballot. To be eligible to be entered into the ballot a club member must have first applied for a place in the marathon by way of the official London Marathon ballot and been unsuccessful. They must also have been a fully paid up member of South Devon AC and England Athletics for at least 2 full years. after being successful in the club ballot a person shall not be eligible to enter it again for 2 years

Those unsuccessful in the ballot for the London Marathon place are eligible to be included in a further ballot for places in any additional races that have been given to the club. In the event of insufficient interest from these parties the ballot shall be opened up to anyone else in the club, providing they meet the same criteria for length of membership.
