Results - week ending 24th March 2019
Spring racing season started in style with South Devon AC runners competing in several races with some great performances and PB’s.
The Tavy13 is a half marathon run by Tavistock Athletic and was the third race in the SDAC annual grand prix. The race starts and finishes at Tavistock College athletic track with a lovely scenic route out to Dartmoor and back. There was a good number of SDAC runners attending – Colin Peters was first back for the club but the ladies took the honours with Kerry Bell 2nd V55 and along with Kate Maslin and Dani Waters they were the ladies 3rd team. There were half marathon PB’s for Antony and Dani Waters.
Mark Stockman and Marc Jones ran the Coleton Fishacre National Trust 10k finishing in 2nd and 6th place.
Anita Carpenter continued her training for London marathon by running the Granite Way 20 mile race on Dartmoor with a great result.
In the juniors Hannah Carr set a new PB at the 5k loop at the Coleton Trust race.
Lauren Carr and Evie Rowe competed in the Donut Duathalon at Torbay Velopark with Lauren coming in third place.
