Spring Marathon season is well under way with South Devon AC runners competing at Brighton and Paris marathons.
Alex Magee and Fiona Stephens braved the cold and windy conditions at Brighton with Steph Bartlett and Chris Shuttleworth aka Balloon Man travelling to Paris for the marathon there.
At home it was the next in the club Grand Prix at the Honiton Hippo. Not as muddy as last year but cold and with hills and river crossings it’s always a fun challenge. There was a strong turnout from South Devon AC runners with Michelle Cowley taking 2nd female place on her return to racing.
Lauren and Hannah Carr competed in the Hippo Calf run with Lauren taking first place girl and Hannah 1st under 13 girl.
Lastly Steve Maddock took on the Exmoor Beauty which is a tough 100km bike race over the hills of Exmoor beating his previous best by over an hour and finishing in 6:34:47
