Results - week ending 1st September 2019
The best performances this week were from South Devon AC’s juniors. Not only did Lauren and Hannah Carr take first and second female in the Wigan 10k family mile race, Lauren was the overall race winner! Despite having run Croxteth parkrun the day before in a respectable time of 25:35 Lauren left everyone for dust winning in 6:16 – a fantastic time.
It’s also been good to see the juniors continuing to train and race in the summer holidays at parkrun and Junior parkrun. On Saturday Jack Luscombe had a great run at parkrun for a new PB of 25:29.
For the seniors there were some fun races and parkrun tourism. At Dartmouth regatta road race a horse was spotted – this one did have a name and it was Colin Peters! Despite being a little “horse” Colin managed a great time of 46:09.
In need of refreshment after Dartmouth Dave Cubberley proved he’ll do anything for a beer and ran the Red Rock Mud race in fancy dress supporting Devon Air Ambulance.
