A break from the rain and spring was definitely in the air and in the step of South Devon AC runners as members new and old made the most of local races and parkruns.

First Chance 10k in Exeter is always a good gauge to fitness at the start of the year and fifteen SDAC members were up to the challenge in sunny and icy conditions, great to see Dave Naish back to enjoying racing after injury.

Matthew Dalton won the Plym trail half on Saturday in a great time and Ben Reed and Steve Carr both ran night races - Steve is making the most of his return from injury and also ran First Chance.

Four juniors competed in the highly competitive Devon Schools Cross Country championships on Saturday and several were at the junior parkrun with Theo Glew taking the win there.
