Juniors Results - w/e 24th July 2022

It was a very special day for Oscar Mytton (South Devon Athletic Club U13s) on the 23rd of July at Newquay and Par AC's pentathlon competition. Over the 5 events across the day, he managed 3 PBs and scored highly in each event to take first place in his age category. Oscar threw a PB of 27.41 in javelin, ran a PB in his hurdles of 15.31s and an 800m PB 2.50.  Oscar also recorded a 7.19m shot put and a 3.97 long jump, but Oscar's weekend did not finish there.  On Sunday he also competed for Devon at the Southwest Inter Championships, finishing 4th in shot put and whilst not securing a podium finish in the hurdles was close to his PB, a great weekend of athletics from Oscar and we are all rightly proud of your achievements!

Several juniors ran Parkruns this weekend. Christopher Tarver ran a fine 10:29, 17th, in the junior parkrun and Hannah Carr 108th in 25:56 at Velopark parkrun - well done from everyone at SDAC.
