Results - w/e 18th September 2022

On the 10th September, Matt Dalton completed the DARTMOOR IN A DAY 50KM ULTRA, the route is mainly across wild areas of open moor, starting at Okehampton, passing through Postbridge and finishing at Ivybridge. Highlights along the way include the East Okement valley, Hangingstone Hill, the East Dart valley, Bellever Tor, West Dart stepping stones, Ryder’s Hill, a clapper bridge over the upper Avon river, the Dartmoor Volcano and stunning views along the Erme valley and out to sea.

Matt finished in 20th place with a time of 7 hours. This was his 7th 100 miler of the year as he aims to complete 12 x 100 mile runs during 2022. Amazing work, Matt.

The Honiton Hippo was the next instalment of the SDAC 2022 Grand-Prix series, a 7 mile tough multi-terrain race full of ‘mud, sweat and tears’ with an occasional hill and river crossing thrown in for good measure. 

Tom Atwill was first home in 36th place in 1 hour 8 minutes and 31 seconds, followed by James Nash, 60th in 1h 17m 8s and Mark Holman, 101st in 1h 31m 43s.
