Finally, after over a year it was a return to proper racing with a busy weekends running for South Devon AC runners.

Starting on Friday evening it was the Erme Valley relays where SDAC fielded five senior and one junior team. Some fantastic performances from everyone especially the junior ladies but a special mention to new members Harry Harrison and Ellie Jordan who both ran great times. Harry ran the fastest leg for the club in 14:42 which put him 49th out of 386 overall, great running. Well done also to Neil Jordain and Chris Cornish running their first relays for the club. It was a great atmosphere and well organised as usual by Erme Valley Harriers and thanks to Colin for organising.

Saturday saw the welcome return of parkrun with a good number from SDAC running and volunteering. Despite the relays the evening before Ben Reed and Neil Jordain both recorded new PB’s and Dani Waters also ran a new PB and was 2nd lady.

On Sunday Ben and Neil continued their race streak by running the Stoke Gabriel Carnival 10K (ish) with Alex Magee, Liam Lindon and Jeremy Goddard. Alex was first back for the club on the tough and scenic route around Stoke Gabriel – bacon butties and cider were well earned!

Matt Dalton competed in the South West Coast 2 Coast Challenge Ultra taking first place in a great time of 11:25:46, well done Matt.
