Results - w/e 2nd October 2022

This weekend saw several heroes representing South Devon Athletic Club in marathon and ultra-marathon distance races.

Antony & Dani Waters and also Anita & Shane Carpenter were lucky enough to compete in the London marathon with Dani finishing in 4 hours 2 minutes and 43 seconds, Antony crossing the line in 4h 30m 3s, Anita Carpenter knocked 13 minutes off her PB with a time of 4h 35m 36s and Shane Carpenter crossed the line in 6h 37m 56s, a fabulous effort from all.

Our virtual London Marathoner saw Neil Jordain hitting 5h 18m 32s, amazing running!

Slightly closer to home, the Exe Estuary race saw Stuart Batten finish the ultra in a very impressive second place with a brilliant time of 4 hours 43 min 35 sec, fantastic running.

Michele Coles also competed in the ultra, finishing in 33rd spot with 6h 23m 14s and achieved virtual London marathon status at the same time in 5h 11m 29s, top stuff.

Strong running from Jeremy Goddard competing in the Exe Estuary Marathon saw him finish in 8th place with a time of 4h 25m 14s, good going.

Well done from everyone at the club, I have run out of superlatives to describe the weekends adventures but terrific achievements all-round to savour and remember for a lifetime.
