Three South Devon AC runners travelled to Postbridge in the heart of Dartmoor for the Postbridge Pootle, a 10k(ish) taking in some sapping climbs and tricky descents starting from the Dartmoor Visitor Centre and finishing with a helter-skelter downhill on the wide gravel tracks of Bellever Forest.
Jeremy Goddard led home the trio, finishing in 50th in an impressive 1h 2m 19s. Guy and Lorraine Henderson shared 74th place in the 98-runner field, stopping the clock in 1h 14m 7s.

The Stoke Gabriel Carnival Run is a challenging off-road race in a fun, relaxed carnival atmosphere with superb local support. The run follows riverside paths, fields, bridleways and country lanes and but most importantly all finishers receive a bacon bap & a pint of Hunts cider!!
Alex Magee was first back for the club in 1hr 6m 25s followed by Tom Atwill in 1hr 14m 8s, Steve Wright 1hr 18m 24s, Neil Jordain 1hr 19m 22s and James Nash 1hr 34m 21s. A tough but very enjoyable race (Steve and James may have second thoughts about cycling to and from the event next year!) which was well marshalled and marked throughout and a credit to the organiser, Jamie Bullock.
