The weekend saw nine South Devon Athletic Club runners tackle the Templer Ten, the race takes in fields and tracks around Stover and Teigngrace and includes a river crossing, fields full of cows, mud, mud, mud and then some more mud thrown in for good measure.
Whilst the weather behaved itself for a few hours, on a very wet and energy sapping course, the Ladies team consisting of Dani Waters, Kerry Bell, Heather Coverdale and Claire Cornish achieved a fabulous second place team placing, great work girls!
Dani Waters also came 2nd in the FV35 category as did Kerry Bell in the FV60s, whilst Roger Webb came first in the MV65s. All runners mentioned how tough but enjoyable the course was. Well done folks.

Whilst you were all asleep on Friday night, at midnight Matt Dalton was setting out from Okehampton for this tenth 100-miler of the year competing in the PureTrails Dartmoor Way 100.
Also known as the ‘The Full Circle ‘, it was the first complete circumnavigation of Dartmoor ever to have taken place as an official race event and follows the freshly waymarked Dartmoor Way route, made tougher with last week's downpours making some paths more like streams plus the rain and wind added to the ‘enjoyment’. Are you mad, Matt?!
With over 14000 ft of elevation, the 100 miles must have felt like 110 miles, so what an incredible achievement to finish in 5th place overall and 1st in his age category in a mighty 28 hours 50 mins and 3 seconds. Well done from everyone at South Devon AC – put your feet up!
