Fortunately for South Devon AC some races still took place this weekend including the aptly named Mad March Hare 10k. Roger Webb, Rachel Collins and Dave Cubberley all braved the rain to run the race at Plymouth with Roger taking the Vet60 prize.
At the Totally muddy in Ashcombe, Matthew Dalton doubled up winning both the 5k and 10k races, Ben Reed also ran the race double.
Despite the concerns Bath half went ahead which was Yvonne Robinsons first half marathon which she completed in 2:20:57 – well done Yvonne!
Then there was the last round in the Sportshall competition for the juniors. There was a good squad from SDAC and some great results for the day and over the whole series. For the first year in the Sportshall league it has been a great success not only due to the support from Vince , coaching staff and parents but the determination and effort from all our junior athletes – roll on next year!
