Beat the Tide - Sunday 14th August 2016
Well done the the SDAC ladies team came 2nd at the annual Paignton Regatta Beat the Tide competition.
The event challenges teams to build the sturdiest mound of sand they can muster as the tide stays far down the beach, then climb on top of it and cling on while the waves race in and lap around them.
Various techniques were on display, from those who went for height to teams who constructed elaborate wave defences in front of their mounds of sand.
The SDAC ladies donated half their winnings to the Regatta's Charity, Action Duchenne, and the other half to our Chairman's charity, the Haven in Paignton.

Awards' Night - 27th February 2015
South Devon AC enjoyed a well attended awards' night on Friday 27th February. Brixham Cricket club again very kindly allowed us to use their club house. 2014 had been a very successful year for SDAC. This year the juniors held their own Grand Prix and also represented the club in track, cross country, road and off-road races. At this year's Pearson Cup a small but determined junior team returned some excellent individual performances and supported one another magnificently.
